Tonkatsu is a traditional Japanese dish, which consists of a fried breaded pork cutlet. Ton means pork and Katsu is an abbreviation of katsuretsu, which means cutlet. This dish is inspired by Western cuisine (similar to the German schnitzel) and differs mainly from the panko, a typical breadcrumb used in Japanese cuisine.

In Japan, tonkatsu can be found in various forms. Komi Box offers you the classic version: a pork cutlet with Japanese rice, white cabbage and delicious tonkatsu sauce, a Japanese Worcestershire sauce.
